Pricing Sources
This application provides access to the majority of currently effective tariff/circular publications
issued by KCS. For information relating to tariffs, rules publications and other rate documents
published by other railroads refer to the applicable railroad’s Web Site.

Establishment of Credit
Customers planning to ship cars on KCS Railway are expected to have established credit approved
through our Collections Department. Prior to the establishment of credit, any and all moves will be
handled on a pre-paid cash basis. A credit application can be found on the Pricing and Rules
Publications page of our website under the Customers tab.

General Notes
Prices on this website are available for use by the general shipping public. Prices are subject to
change without notice. In case of differences between the printed tariff/circular shall apply.
Check specific conditions, routes or commodities for each rate quoted.

Fuel Surcharge
Fuel Surcharge changes monthly, at the beginning of each month, and can be found on the Fuel
Surcharge page of our web site under the Customer Tab.

Rail Miles
Rail Miles provided are an estimate; they are not intended to be used for payment and/or pricing
purposes. For exact rail miles used to rate shipments, KCS uses ALK PC Miler, Practical Miles. It is
recommended that customers refer to this program to determine the exact rates that they will be
charged.

Transit Times
The rate(s) in this application do not include or imply any accessorial service, service level and
service levels may vary. In addition, there is no guarantee of railcar supply or equipment
availability.
