For nearly 125 years, the visionaries, leaders and hard-working railroaders of KCS have shared and perpetuated a unique legacy of tenacious ingenuity, which began with our founder Arthur E. Stilwell. While each generation has been criticized by its contemporaries for running against the grain, the people of KCS wear labels such as "scrappy", "ambitious", "entrepreneurial" and "independent" like badges of honor – so much so that the unique KCS legacy was incorporated into the company’s vision and values statement in 2004.

Part of KCS’ legacy is a commitment to family and being responsible citizens in the communities where we live and work. In this section are some of the ways we are working to be a good neighbor.
