Last week, KCS president and CEO Dave Starling, executive vice president sales and marketing Pat Ottensmeyer and vice president investor relations Bill Galligan visited London, Edinburgh and Dublin, meeting with 55 institutional investors throughout Europe.

Throughout the company’s 125-year history, KCS has had a close relationship with European investors.  This relationship can be traced back to funding received from Europe for the first rail line to the Gulf Coast in 1893.  KCS has since maintained a strong relationship with the European investment community and has many European shareholders. 

Management discussed KCS’ strong financial performance and exciting growth opportunities, especially in the areas of cross-border intermodal, auto and energy.  

The European investor community understands the importance of Mexico to North America’s manufacturing resurgence, and sees KCS as a key transportation provider between Mexico and the United States.
