KCS hosts six Missouri governors in historic event

December 04, 2015

On November 20 at KCS headquarters in Kansas City, all six of Missouri’s living governors came together to discuss economic issues facing the state.  The historic gathering focused on the role that the Hawthorn Foundation has played in helping these leaders bring jobs to Missouri.  The VIP reception in the clock tower and luncheon in the Grand Hall helped raise funds for the Hawthorn Foundation’s marketing and business recruitment efforts.

The Hawthorn Foundation partners with the Missouri Department of Economic Development to facilitate and attract businesses to Missouri.  The Foundation has experienced great success in bringing innovation to Missouri’s economic development strategy by collaborating with Missouri governors, the Missouri Department of Economic Development and a myriad of local and regional economic development organizations to create and support cutting-edge initiatives focused on expanding economic opportunities for the state.
