KCSM recognized as socially responsible company

KCSM was recently recognized by Cemefi as a socially responsible company.  The Mexican Center for Philanthropy, Cemefi, is a national non-profit organization founded in 1988 to promote and articulate the work of philanthropic, committed and socially-responsible citizens and organizations to achieve a more equitable, compassionate and prosperous society.

Achieving this recognition from Cemefi was a key objective set in 2015 by KCSM president, general manager and executive representative Jose Zozaya.

“This recognitition demonstrates to our employees, customers, suppliers and the greater community that KCSM is committed to doing business in a socially-responsible manner in terms of the environment, ethics and quality of life,” said Zozaya.  “Thank you to the cross-functional teams within KCSM who worked to secure this recognition.”

Special thanks to the following departments who collaborated to secure this recognition, including Agroindustrial, Corporate Communications and Institutional Relations, Environmental Protection, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Information Technology, Internal Audit, Internal Reporting and Control, International Purchasing, Legal, Operations, Operations Support, Presidency, Prevention Claim Cargo, Railway Protection, Sales and Marketing, Service Design, Telecommunications and Transportation.  KCSM also thanks CRV, a consulting firm who assisted with the process.
