KCS Announces Ashley A. Thorne as Vice President Investor Relations

Kansas City, Mo., December 21, 2017.  Kansas City Southern (KCS) (NYSE: KSU) has promoted Ashley A. Thorne from assistant vice president to vice president investor relations.  Ms. Thorne succeeds William H. Galligan, who has retired.  She reports to KCS executive vice president and chief financial officer Michael W. Upchurch.

“I want to congratulate Ashley on her promotion,” added Mr. Upchurch.  “She has led the Investor Relations department since February 2017, and has continued the strong legacy established by Bill to be a world-class investor relations function that is accessible, responsive and informative for investors and analysts.”

Ms. Thorne has 17 years of corporate financial experience.  She joined KCS in 2008 and has held positions in Treasury, Corporate Insurance, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Investor Relations.  Prior to joining the company, she spent seven years in the financial and consumer products industries. 

Ms. Thorne holds a master of business administration from University of Missouri Kansas City and a bachelor of arts in business administration and geography from Augustana College.
