KCS Announces New Sales and Marketing Appointments in Energy and Short Line Relations, Intermodal Operations

Kansas City, Mo., July 26, 2017. Kansas City Southern (KCS) (NYSE: KSU) today announced the appointments of Ginger Adamiak as vice president sales and marketing for the energy and short line relations business unit and Darin Selby as vice president intermodal operations. Mr. Selby replaces Morris Godwin who has announced his retirement effective September 1. Ms. Adamiak and Mr. Selby report to executive vice president and chief marketing officer Brian Hancock.

Ms. Adamiak has 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, banking, treasury, investor relations, structured financing, leasing and market analysis, including 20 years in transportation. She joined the company in 2006 as director investor relations.  She was promoted to assistant vice president marketing in 2011 and assistant vice president finance in 2015.  Prior to joining KCS, she spent nine years with GATX Corporation.  She has also held financial positions with Household International and Continental Bank.  Ms. Adamiak holds a master of business administration in finance and economics from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Mr. Selby has 24 years of railroad experience in sales and marketing, customer service and transportation. He joined the company in 2001 as assistant trainmaster and has held progressive roles in customer service and sales and marketing.  Most recently, he served as vice president sales and marketing for the energy business unit, also overseeing short line partner relations.  Prior to joining the company, he spent eight years with OmniTRAX’s Central Kansas Railway.  He holds a master of business administration and a bachelor of science in business management from Emporia State University.

Mr. Godwin will continue to serve as an advisor until his retirement. He has over 30 years of transportation experience, mostly in the intermodal business.  He joined the company in 2007 and was promoted to his current role as vice president intermodal operations in 2012.  Previously, he worked for Norfolk Southern, American President Lines, Unicon International, Trism Specialty Carriers and Pacer Stacktrain.
