We communicated that early this morning lightning hit the building where our data center is located resulting in a temporary system-wide data outage impacting several key tools including the public website, MyKCS and the CSC phone center.
We are pleased to report that the systems have been restored and all customer service and train movement are now fully operational.
Also, as communicated over the weekend, it should be noted that crews are still working on the impacted areas near Monterrey due to the excessive rains from Hurricane Hanna. As communicated, we are estimating the repairs will be made by tomorrow morning if the weather permits. We will advise when the track is back open.
