Service Interruption on KCSM network due to Hurricane Hanna

July 26, 2020

Hurricane Hanna has resulted in heavy rains in the north of Mexico area causing flash flooding. Currently, the line which runs between Matamoros and Monterrey has a small section that has been impacted by the rain around mile post 168 (Ochoa) and another just north of the Monterrey yard resulting in service interruptions in both locations.

We have crews monitoring the impacted areas and are performing repairs as current weather permits as rain is forecasted through Monday evening.

It is anticipated that all repairs should be done by Tuesday morning, July 28th – weather permitting. If this is not the case, we will communicate this to you.

Should you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact our KCSM Customer Solutions team who will gladly assist you.

Thank you for your patience.
