U.S. Charitable Giving Program

The Kansas City Southern Charitable Fund supports organizations that benefit communities and citizens in our service area. Contributions can be made only to 501(c)(3) organizations as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and are limited by the funds available in the Fund at any given time.

Charitable Request Guidelines

Requests to the KCS Charitable Fund must be in writing and include:

  • The organization’s name and proof of 501(c)(3) status as part of the Internal Revenue Code
  • Other identifying information, including:
    • Mailing address
    • Contact person, title, phone number and email address
    • Officers and members of the governing board
  • Purpose of funding request
  • Amount requested
  • Any benefits of sponsorship

Requests for funding from the following will not be considered:

  • Individuals or organizations established to help specific individuals
  • Religious, fraternal or social organizations
  • Organizations whose activities are focused outside Kansas City Southern's U.S. service territory

Matching Gifts Program
