CFDI 4.0 #9 - end of grace period

Attention KCSM shippers, 

On December 1, 2022, we communicated that the Mexican Tax Authority (SAT) had granted extensions to “grace periods” for both the Carta Porte and Digital Fiscal Document (CFDI) 4.0 programs.  The CFDI 4.0 grace period was extended from January 1, 2023, to April 1, 2023.  

KCSM is continuing to work with our customers to be fully compliant in this SAT requirement before the end of the grace period.  To meet the SAT requirements, we are asking our customers to continue their efforts to upload the required data and documentation in advance of this date to avoid any potential bottleneck issues related to waiting until April 1, 2023. Therefore, KCS will be implementing CFDI 4.0 on March 27, 2023, in advance of the end of the grace period.  

NOTE:  Failure to have the necessary documentation uploaded prior to March 27, 2023, will result in limited MyKCS access including the inability to create a waybill or ship with KCS until compliance has been confirmed.  

As a reminder, there are two ways to access the self-service portal: 

MyKCS users – for those registered to use MyKCS, you may sign in via MyKCS and access the link entitled “Upload Constancia Situacion Fiscal and Update Additional Information” as found in the Communication section. 

For non MyKCS users – please email Credit & Collections and provide 
•    Your Company name and RFC for Mexico-based companies

The Credit & Collection department will respond with a link to the portal, your user id and your code.  
NOTE:  please only send this information via email as the Credit & Collections team will not be able to update the portal on your behalf.  

Mexico based customers - you will be required to provide the following info:  
•    Company name 
•    Company principal address
•    Confirm RFC 
•    CFDI Usage 
•    Fiscal regime, and 
•    Upload the Constancia de Situación Fiscal as a pdf
