Digital Fiscal Document (CFDI) #4 - portal now open

May 25, 2022

On May 20, 2022, we communicated to all our customers and partners that we would be communicating directly to our billing contacts on the next steps after completing the necessary assessment on the impact of the new CFDI requirements.

As a reminder, CFDI changes will be applicable to all Mexico-based businesses and the SAT has set the official implementation date of July 1, 2022. The latest information from the SAT can be found here.

You are receiving this communication as we have you listed as someone who manages KCS invoicing. We have now completed building the portal necessary to collect/update the data required from the Mexican government to comply with the CFDI program. The collection of the required data will begin today on May 25, 2022, and will close on June 17, 2022. Failure to enter the required data during this window could result in the inability for customers to create waybills/ship freight within Mexico.

Mexico based customers will be required to provide the following info:  Company name, Company principal address, Confirm RFC, CFDI Usage, Fiscal regime and upload the Constancia de Situación Fiscal as a pdf.

Non-Mexico based customers who ship in Mexico will be required to provide the following: Company Name, Company principal address, Tax ID (vs. RFC), and CFDI usage.

There are two ways to access the portal:

MyKCS users – for those registered to use MyKCS, you may sign in via MyKCS and access the link entitled “Upload Constancia Situacion Fiscal and Update Additional Information” as found in the Communication section.

For non MyKCS users – please email Credit & Collections and provide

  • Your Company name and RFC for Mexico-based companies
  • Your Company name as it appears on the invoice for non-Mexico based companies,

The Credit & Collection department will respond with a link to the portal, your user id and your code.

As reference, here is a matrix to assist with the options:
