Update on U.S. Labor Negotiations – Tentative Agreements reached

September 15, 2022

As you are aware, the National Carriers' Conference Committee, representing numerous major U.S. freight railroads including KCS in national bargaining, has been negotiating for many months toward new national contracts with the dozen unions representing the railroads' unionized workforces.

We are pleased to report that tentative agreements have now been reached with all twelve unions. KCS applauds the efforts of all those who assisted in reaching this resolution. Our company has always fully supported fair compensation and benefits for our employees, as reflected by the fact that workers in the rail industry have been and continue to be among the highest compensated workers in the U.S. You may read more here from the AAR.

At KCS, we remained fully committed to keeping it business-as-usual and service remained uninterrupted on both our U.S. and Mexico networks.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time, and we look forward to continuing to serve you in the future.

Should you have any questions on your shipments, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Customer Solutions Centers in the U.S. or in Mexico.
