Intermodal Public Tariffs for International Container Pricing Under 7702, 7704, 7705, 7708, 7800 and 2012

Dear Valued CPKC Intermodal Customer, 

CPKC is adjusting intermodal international container public linehaul rates as found within KCS T 7702, KCS T 7704, KCS T 7705, KCS T 7708, KCSM T 7708, and KCS T 7800 (effective March 1, 2024) and KCS T 2012 (April 1, 2024).  

The following adjustments are effective March 1, 2024: 

  • KCS T 7702: Loaded and empty international intermodal dry containers between KCS Wylie, TX and the Port of New Orleans, LA: 10.0% rate increase.  
  • KCS T 7704: Loaded and empty international intermodal dry containers from KCS Wylie, TX to NS destinations: 8.0% rate increase.  
  • KCS T 7705: Empty international intermodal dry containers from KCS Wylie, TX to NS destinations: 8.0% rate increase. 
  • KCS T 7708*: Private 20’ isotank rates from KCS origins to KCSM destinations: rate increase 10.0% for all rates.
  • KCSM T 7708*: Private 20’ isotank rates from KCSM origins to KCS destinations: 10.0% increase for all rates.  
  • KCS T 7800:  Loaded and empty international intermodal dry containers between KCS IFG (Kansas City) and East St. Louis, IL:  10% increase 


The following adjustment is effective April 1, 2024:  

  • KCS T 2012:  West Monroe, LA for 20’ and 40 – 45’ loaded and empty intermodal dry containers: 10.0% increase.

*Please note that isotank residue shipments must be billed with the proper STCC code of the commodity for Customs purposes, regardless of lading weight. Shipments less than 5,000 pounds of net weight are priced at the level of a clean empty.  Shipments greater than 5,000 pounds of net weight are priced as a full load.
