Digital Fiscal Document (CFDI) #7 – Last chance to update required information

November 10, 2022

Attention Customers based in Mexico and those with Mexican RFCs :

As the January 1, 2023 date imposed by the Mexican Tax Authority (SAT) quickly approaches for CFDI 4.0, this is your final reminder to upload your required information immediately via the directions below.

To meet the SAT requirements, customers must upload the required data and documentation immediately. KCS needs the remaining time before January 1, 2023, to transfer the information to our invoicing system and allow for several weeks shipping and invoicing with the new CFDI 4.0 data included. NOTE:  Failure to do so by this Tuesday, November 15, 2022, will result in limited MyKCS access including the inability to create a waybill or ship with KCS until compliance has been confirmed.

There are two ways to access the self-service portal:
MyKCS users – for those registered to use MyKCS, you may sign in via MyKCS and access the link entitled “Upload Constancia Situacion Fiscal and Update Additional Information” as found in the Communication section.

For non MyKCS users – please email Credit & Collections and provide
•    Your Company name and RFC for Mexico-based companies

The Credit & Collection department will respond with a link to the portal, your user id and your code. NOTE:  please only send this information via email as the Credit & Collections team will not be able to update the portal on your behalf.

Mexico based customers- you will be required to provide the following info:
•    Company name
•    Company principal address
•    Confirm RFC
•    CFDI Usage
•    Fiscal regime, and
•    Upload the Constancia de Situación Fiscal as a pdf

We recognize there are many large-scale changes occurring in Mexico directly impacting our customers and the way we’ve conducted business through the years. KCS is committed to staying tightly aligned on the changes occurring in Mexico and communicating them to you as we are made aware.

Should you have any questions on this SAT requirement, please don’t hesitate to contact our Credit and Collections department who will be happy to answer your CFDI specific questions.

Thank you for being a loyal Kansas City Southern customer and we look forward to continuing to serve you.
